چکیده

In this work, biochar produced from Indonesian rice husks. Then used as adsorbent of Cr(VI) in aqueous solution. The XRD pattern showed the characterization at 23º (002) reflection, appearance silicate oxide, and carbon vibrations. surface area SEM morphologies confirmed that after pyrolysis treatment husk has changed. increased thermal treatment. adsorption study by demonstrate 2nd-order reaction, Langmuir isotherm models. maximum capacity derived to adsorb is 161.290 mg/g, good potential reuseable remove heavy metal

Removal of Surfactants from wastewater by Rice Husk

Surfactants are one of the major components (10- 18%) of detergents and household cleaning products and are used in high volumes in developed countries. In the present research work, the ability of rice husk as a low cost adsorbent for anionic and nonionic surfactants in wastewater has been studied. The maximum removal efficiency for anionic surfactants was 97%, in an aqueous solu...

Removal of phosphate from aqueous solution by biochar derived from anaerobically digested sugar beet tailings.

Biochar converted from agricultural residues or other carbon-rich wastes may provide new methods and materials for environmental management, particularly with respect to carbon sequestration and contaminant remediation. In this study, laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate the removal of phosphate from aqueous solution by biochar derived from anaerobically digested sugar beet tail...

Removal of Chromium ( III ) from Aqueous Solution by Coconut Husk and Rice Straw

Coconut husk fibre and rice straw were found to be able to remove significant amount of Cr (III) ions from aqueous solutions. Its removal is a function of pH and concentration. The optimum pH range for maximum uptake is between 4 and 6 for both substrates. The adsorption capacity was found to be 0.55 and 0.30 millimole Cr (III) / g substrate for coconut husk and rice straw respectively. The ads...

Adsorptive removal of Cu(II) from aqueous solution using modified rice husk

In this study, the modified rice husk was tested to remove Cu(II) from water. Batch experiments were carried out to evaluate the adsorption characteristics of the modified rice husk for Cu(II) removal from aqueous solutions. The adsorption isotherms, thermodynamic parameters, kinetics, pH effect, and desorbability were examined. The results show that the maximum adsorption capacity of the modif...

Carmine Adsorption from Aqueous Solution by Crosslinked Peanut Husk

To observe the feasibility of the removal of carmine, peanut husk, an agriculture by-product, was crosslinked with epichlorohydrin in alkaline medium and used for adsorption of carmine from aqueous solution. Batch experiments were carried out to study the effects of various parameters such as initial pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage and initial carmine concentration, as ...
